Maricopa County and its partners offer assistance with down payments to qualifying military personnel as well as a wide range of affordable housing options throughout Maricopa County.

If you are a veteran experiencing problems resulting in a case in the Maricopa County criminal justice system, we may be able to assist you through the veteran's problem solving court. Veterans can also record DD214 discharge papers with our Recorders Office.
  1. Affordable Housing

    The Housing Authority of Maricopa County is an active partner with county, state and federal agencies and programs as well as other public and private sectors with a goal to offer a wide range of affordable housing throughout Maricopa County.

  2. Down Payment Assistance

    The Industrial Development Authority (IDA) of Maricopa County and the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Phoenix, Arizona have joined together to help military personnel and veterans obtain FHA, VA, or USDA-RD loan financing to purchase a home anywhere in Maricopa County, including the City of Phoenix.

  3. Ending Homelessness

    Maricopa County’s Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) is integral to providing services, including transitional and permanent housing services, for homeless individuals and families, including veterans, throughout our community.

  4. Home Improvement

    The Maricopa County Human Services Department (MCHSD) is pleased to offer veterans assistance with modifying their home to provide greater accessibility.

  5. Housing / Foreclosure Assistance

    Get assistance with any housing or foreclosure issues with the state of Arizona.

  6. Law for Veterans

    Law for Veterans is a 1-stop clearinghouse for access to legal and other important veteran benefit information sponsored by the Arizona Supreme Court, the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services and Education, and the State Bar of Arizona and its Military Legal Assistance Committee.

  7. Problem Solving Court

    Veteran’s Problem Solving Court is an inter-agency collaborative effort focused on veterans in the criminal justice system. The Court is a problem-solving court that uses a collaborative approach to criminal justice proceedings.

  8. Recording DD214

    Maricopa County Recorder’s Office records DD214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty for veterans. By recording your DD214, you are ensured that if something happens to the original, you may obtain a certified copy at any time.

  9. Veteran Benefits Manual

    The National Veteran’s Legal Services Program, a non-profit, charitable organization that works for veterans’ rights and conducts an advocate training program, compiles the Veterans Benefits Manual. The manual is a practical guide with the critical information you need to navigate veterans’ benefits issues.
