Veteran’s Problem Solving Court
is an inter-agency collaborative effort focused on veterans in the
criminal justice system. The Court is a problem-solving court that uses a
collaborative approach to criminal justice proceedings. The Court works
in conjunction with prosecutors, defense attorneys, veteran mentors,
and the Veteran’s Administration to give each participant the best
chance of getting back on track as healthy, productive veteran and
Maricopa County citizen.
Hearings, which are guided by principles of working together to provide the necessary services to tackle complex issues while adhering to a court process that addresses recovery, resiliency and rehabilitation, are conducted once a week for veterans that meet certain eligibility requirements.
