Aquatic Health & Safety

The Environmental Services Department is responsible for approving and regulating public and semi-public pools, wading pools or special use pools, spas and artificial bathing lakes. Public and semi-public pools, spas and bathing lakes are typically owned and operated by municipalities or businesses such as hotels, apartment complexes, homeowner's associations, churches, schools and other government, non-profit or commercial enterprises.

Operating permits are required for public and semi-public pools, wading pools or special use pools, spas and artificial bathing lakes. Operating permits are not required for private residential pools and spas. 

You may request an advisory/punch list construction or operational inspection for a fee of $135 per body of water. To submit a request, email us with the name and address of the property, your contact information and when you would like to schedule the inspection.  Please allow at least 72 hours in advance for scheduling. We will respond to confirm your request and provide payment instructions. Please note the fee must be received before the inspection can take place.
